Autoliv City

Autoliv Timisoara organizes the first autonomously driven car competition in Romania on 27th of June 2014 in City Business Center Timisoara. The challenge for the competing teams is to build a car which should autonomously drive from point A to point B in the testing area called Autoliv City, a scale down city with roads, bridges, signs and traffic lights. The cars should respect city rules, detect traffic lights and avoid obstacles.

The competition will have two sections, one for students and the other one for the engineers working at Autoliv Timisoara. The best three teams will be rewarded with 1200, 500 and 300 euros.

The special guest of the event will be Ionut Budisteanu, the Romanian teenager who invented a $4000 self-driving car.
